Half winery, half open-air gallery — Anish Kapoor, Louise Bourgeois and a dozen other names have left permanent, site-specific work scattered through the cellars and lanes since 2000. San Lorenzo has been ranked among Wine Spectator's global top ten, so the wine holds its own against the art. It won't suit a taster who wants a quiet cellar and nothing else — go in knowing the tour is as much museum as tasting room.
