Our verdict
A tenth-century medieval hamlet turned into a winery in the 1970s, when Antonio Braganti bought the estate and its three towers almost by accident. His son Michele now farms twelve hectares organically at up to 500 metres, making wine with no added yeast and long skin contact — closer to natural winemaking than most of Chianti Classico attempts. Go for the Radda style at its most uncompromising.
