A legendary Radda estate whose Le Pergole Torte is one of Tuscany's most revered Sangioveses (bottled outside the DOCG).

Our verdict

Not technically a Chianti Classico — Montevertine left the DOCG — but Le Pergole Torte is one of the greatest Sangioveses in Italy. Pilgrimage territory if you can get an appointment.
