Winery · Castelnuovo Berardenga
San Felice
A historic estate and wine resort at Castelnuovo, known for Poggio Rosso.
Our verdict
A full medieval hamlet turned into a 1,400-acre wine estate, with a Michelin-starred restaurant, Poggio Rosso, inside it — this is the polished, resort version of Chianti, not the rustic one. One honest note from visitors: the restoration is so complete that some find it feels more staged than lived-in. Go for Poggio Rosso's tasting menu and the wine, not for a sense of authenticity.
