Our verdict
A Baroque villa rebuilt in 1702, grand enough that Pope Pius VII slept here on his way to crown Napoleon — today it is a working Chianti Classico estate with an Italian garden and a view to Florence's Duomo. The tour leans historical as much as oenological. Book ahead; this is not a drop-in tasting room.
